Meet the Host
Welcome! I’m Masatake Toda, the owner and manager of this beautiful historic home. My journey to opening House33 Iwai started many years ago, driven by my love for Japanese hospitality and tradition.
Before retiring in 2023, I spent 19 wonderful years working with Tokyo Tatemono Real Estate Sales, part of the Tokyo Tatemono Group. I also had the pleasure of managing Apartments33, a serviced apartment, for almost a decade. One of my fondest memories is building connections with members of the Tokyo American Club when it relocated to Shinagawa.
These experiences have shaped my passion for creating a warm and memorable stay for my guests. Drawing on my background in property management and customer relations, I opened House33 Iwai to offer you a genuine taste of Japanese living. I’m excited to share that I’m also planning to build a second house in Iwai MinamiBoso to welcome even more guests. Please make yourself at home and enjoy your stay.
